Are you a morning person? I, my friend, am not. I will hit the snooze button several times before finally crawling out of bed. Then I’m inevitably rushing around trying to get everything I need before heading off to work. I’ll skip breakfast and likely resort to a drive-thru for lunch. But that’s my past self. Well, not the morning person hitting the snooze button part, but the not planning ahead part.
To avoid those stomach-growling and money-wasting pitfalls, I prepare for the week ahead on Sundays. In just an hour or two, I’m able to help my future non-morning person self by having things in place for the week ahead. There is something about having a plan in place that makes going to work seem a little less like, well, work.
If you struggle with mornings like I do, you’ll definitely want to have this recipe in your meal-prepping arsenal!

Helpful Tips
Ripeness of Pears: For the best flavor, choose pears that are ripe but still firm. This will ensure they hold their shape during baking.
Peeling the Pears. I don’t typically peel the pears before using them, however, feel free to do that if you don’t prefer their texture.
Oats. Rolled oats are thicker and have been steamed for a shorter amount of time than quick oats. They typically cook faster and have a smooth and creamy texture. Quick oats are smaller than rolled oats and they’re more processed. The end result tends to be a bit on the mushy side. Steel-cut oats have a firmer, chewy consistency due to less processing.
